Clothes Labels Are Made of Different Materials

Clothing labels come in various designs, shapes and sizes and are processed on to several different kinds of materials, which can be fabric varieties such as cotton or silk etc., as well as cardboards, plastic, PVC and other kinds of products.

For those who are in the business of designing the many types of garments found in the marketplace, labels are a necessity for identification of the particular brand for the benefit of businesses and the purchasing public. Designers and manufacturers can have their own particular style of label made up especially for use on their garments.

There are a number of different types of materials used in the making of garment tags. Some are woven onto various fabrics, others are put onto small sections of leather, or the information can be found on plastic and PVC products. Another material used is thin and thick types of cardboard and a further method are embroidery.

Many clothing products also carry other labels on how to care for the particular garment; this may include washing or dry cleaning instructions, ironing, tumble drying and other information. These labels are usually affixed to the garment as a permanent inclusion. This is probably known more commonly as the laundering instructions.

A process of weaving is used to make up tags where the brand name or logo is actually woven into the fabric; this is also a useful method for personalized name tags for use on school clothes, those of nursing home residents and other situations where peoples personal property may become mixed up with other personal wear.

Denim jeans with a brand name often carry this as a leather tag generally attached to the waist band or back pocket etc., some styles of western shirt as well as a number of others may also carry a tag of this kind. Because these are made from leather they generally out live the garment, this is done by a number of different forms of embossing. Hang tags are often made from plastic, PVC and card boards and attaching them to the apparel is done by way of certain types of string materials. Hang tags may display the price and other types of information that is useful to the buyer.

The embroidered kinds are made similar to the woven variety with the logo or brand name generally displayed. They can be made as labels or slogan patches and these can be ironed on or are self adhesive. Information can actually be embroidered onto a particular article, and this is often used to promote the name of a business, identify a person or perhaps a school etc. There is possibly a label which can be made to suit just about any kind of garment where the brand, logo, a persons name or something else etc., can help identify that piece of clothing.
